With trusting in God, the 2nd International and 23rd Iranian Congress of Physiology and Pharmacology will be held on February 15-18, 2018 in Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, Chabahar, Iran. Despite the biennial holding of the congress, due to abrupt growth of knowledge production in Iran during the past few years, with a remarkable effect in physiological and pharmacological fields, the congress has become one of the most effective scientific events of the country in the field of basic sciences. Enjoying the experiences from the previously held congresses, we are determined to do our best to hopefully hold one of the magnificently outstanding scientific gatherings. This valuable goal, however, may not be achieved without the effective contribution and attendance of impressive veterans, researchers and students. The participation of the respectful scholars and experts along with debates on the newest scientific achievements provides a unique opportunity to convey the valuable experiences to students and young researchers. Accordingly, comprehensive lectures, scientific panels, poster discussions and pivotal workshops are among the core programs of the congress. In addition, the scientific programs of the congress are so meticulously planned that all aspects of Physiology and Pharmacology including cellular and molecular advances as well as basic and clinical research in both fields will be covered.
On behalf of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, I shall honorably invite all dear colleagues to both promote the weight of the congress and to enjoy a visit to the coastal city of Chabahar, the city of the pioneers of science, literature and art.
Gholamreza Komeili (Ph.D.)
